Downtown News names The Trust Building as one of the projects to watch in 2018

Nelson and Christopher Rising, who breathed new life into the low-slung Financial District office complex Park DTLA, and later transformed the One Bunker Hill edifice into the shiny and restored CalEdison, are at it again. Their Rising Realty Partners, in partnership with Lionstone Investments, is expected to complete a renovation of the former Title Insurance Building by mid-year.

The Historic Core continues its zealous surge of redevelopment with the current restoration of The Trust Building on Spring Street. Rising Realty Partners has just released its first renderings of the building’s ambitious makeover, the largest restoration project to take place on Spring. A historic gem of the Old Bank District, the stunning 11-story Art Deco building will be retrofitted with creative offices above ground-floor retail and restaurant space, all while retaining its historic character and architectural integrity. Rising Realty partnered with design and architecture firm Gensler to execute their vision. Its grand re-opening is slated for Summer 2018.

Restoration begins on Title Insurance Building’s gorgeous Art Deco facade

Work to restore the the gorgeous facade of the Title Insurance and Trust Building in Downtown’s Historic Core is underway. The Art Deco building, newly rechristened the Trust Building by owners Rising Realty Partners and Lionstone Investments, has been somewhat neglected over the years, though it’s been used often as a filming location.
